- Development of a Shallow Water Drilling barge
Development of a new Cantilevered Shallow Water Drilling Barge for the Middle East,
using surplus Equipment from the North Sea. The Concept was completed Spring 2001,
and a comprehensive Proposal was submitted to the Client. The Client has issued a
Letter of Commitment for this Drilling Unit. Negotiations regarding Technical and
Commercial issues will start late 2001.
- Development of a New Deepwater Intervention, Drilling, Pipe- and Cable-Laying
and Production Test Vessel.
The Concept Development, Equipment Selection and Motion Analysis have been done. The
unit is very cost-effective in waterdepths between 300 - 10.000 ft. The Concept is
now being promoted to Investors and the Oil & Gas Industry.
- Offshore Conversion of Associated Gas to Liquids.
There is a number of identified projects in the Middle East. The National Oil Companies
and the Authorities are interested in undertaking these projects to reduce the pollution
from associated gas flaring, and turn this flaring into revenue. Ongoing discussions with
possible investors are taking place.
- Deepwater Drilling / Early Production Vessels in Caspian Sea.
Project Development, Promotion / Negotiation of a Deepwater Drilling / Early Production
Vessel for Caspian Sea. A Joint Venture with International and Iranian companies was
established, and a proposal has been submitted to the Client. The project is on HOLD
at the moment.
- Broker of Offshore Units to Iran / Middle East
Search, identification and negotiation for the supply of Jack Up Drilling Rigs and
Pipeline & Crane Barges to Iranian Companies and to the Middle East in general.
- Development of New Yard Facilities in Persian Gulf and Caspian Sea.
Following a Market Survey, concepts have been developed for the required New Yards in
the Persian Gulf and the Caspian Sea. Co-operation between International and local
companies are being established.
- Re-use of Platforms and Facilities from North Sea
Development of Thermal Power Plant Concepts for Development Countries.
